James River Cellars Winery hosts the event outdoors at its location at 11008 Washington Highway in Glen Allen (next to the driving range on Route 1), north of the Atlee/Elmont Interchange. Social hour with open bar begins at 5:30, followed by a picnic style barbecue dinner catered by The Smokey Pig. Cost: $20/members, $25/non-members. The event will be held rain or shine.

The Annual Dinner and Membership Meeting will be held at the Richmond Times-Dispatch Production Plant at Atlee Station, off Chamberlayne Avenue (Route 301). The fifth annual Hanover Open charity golf tournament is scheduled for Monday, October 6, 2008 at Hanover Country Club. The format is captain's choice. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the tournament create scholarships for graduating seniors at all four high schools in Hanover County. Hanover Country Club features a newly designed 18-hole course nestled in the rolling hills of Hanover, 4 miles west of Ashland off Route 54. The day concludes with dinner and prizes.
